Jeremiah Holder
Hello, I am Jeremiah Holder and I want to take a few moments to introduce myself and give you an idea of who I am.
I am originally from Jonesboro, Arkansas however growing up as a military brat I moved all over the world with my family as my Father, Jeff Holder, proudly served Our Country. Following in his foot steps I joined the United States Army on Jan 23, 2002 where I embarked on my adventure to become a Canine Hanlder/Trainer. I started my journey as an Artillerymen at Fort Sill, OK before reclassifying to a Military Police in 2004 where I would hopefully be able to attend the Military Working Dog School soon after, and realize my goal of becoming a K9 Handler. It took a little longer then expected but after serving in Germany and deploying to Afghanistan I was able to reenlist for and attend the school that I had dreamed of and Graduated as Top Dog of my class in Oct 2007. From there the learning and work really began as I was stationed at Fort Hood, Texas with some of the finest K9's and K9 Trainer's a young man could ask for. They prepared me and my assigned Military Working Dog, Rony, for a deployment to Mosul, Iraq. Spending a year in Mosul as the Narcotics and Iraq Police K9 Trainer was an amazing experience in which I learned invaluable information. After redeploying back to the States I realized I wanted to continue my education and went to several schools learning as much as I possibly could about dogs and how to train them better.
In Jan 2011, I decided to leave the Military after almost 9 years and 2 combat deployments and give private security a chance where I was immediately picked up by AMK9 as an explosive detection dog handler and back on my way back to Iraq protecting the largest US Embassy in the world. I was partnered with several different K9's during my 7 years with the company and also able to attend several training schools while stationed overseas and at home. I attended Animal Behavior College to become a Certified Dog Trainer where I got to study in both Texas and visit our neighbors to the North in Toronto, Canada meeting and learning from different trainers and kennels along the way. AMK9 sent me to two different Trainer's Courses, their own and the United Police Working Dog Association where I was able to further my education and become a Certified Trainer and Kennel Master for both. After parting ways with AMK9 I was employed by Global K9 Protection Group in Opelika, AL as a Trainer, training students in obedience, explosive detection, tracking and civil/patrol bite work. I was then picked up by SOC LLC to return to US Embassy in Baghdad, Iraq where I would become the Senior Trainer before leaving in Dec 2019 to start my dream of opening and operating my own pet service business where I would be able to teach and interact with all different breeds of dogs and get to know the people of my community.
